Dr. Bayer is board certified in neuropsychology through the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP). She holds a doctorate in clinical psychology and completed a one-year APA-accredited internship with neuropsychology as her Major Area of Study, followed by a two-year clinical fellowship in neuropsychology at an APPCN-member program. Dr. Bayer is licensed to practice in the state of Georgia, offering services to those in Atlanta and surrounding areas.
Throughout her training and professional career, Dr. Bayer has acquired extensive experience providing neuropsychological assessment and intervention services to adult and geriatric patients presenting with a wide range of neurological, medical, and/or psychiatric conditions. She has worked with patients affected by neurodegenerative disorders—such as Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease and related movement disorders, and frontotemporal dementia—as well as those recovering from stroke, brain tumors, and traumatic brain injury (TBI) spanning the full spectrum of severity, including concussion. She also has specialized experience and interests performing FAA-mandated neuropsychological evaluations to pilots and air traffic control specialists (ATCS) to assist with personnel selection and readiness to return-to-work. Her training and professional background spans diverse settings, including VA medical centers, academic health institutions, non-for-profit hospitals, inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation facilities, and private practice.
